Know a local business with a rough website? Earn $572.40.
If you send us a local business owner and they become a client, we pay you $572.40 — 30% of their first payment. One real referral, one real check. No fine-print games, no recurring cut we’ll quietly claw back.
Refer someone. They sign. You get paid.
It’s deliberately simple — the same honesty we build the whole business on.
Tell us who to talk to
Email us the business name and how to reach them — and let them know you’re sending us their way, so it isn’t a cold surprise. We take it from there with the same free-redesign-first approach we use with everyone.
They see a free redesign
We rebuild their site for real and show them, at no cost and no obligation, exactly like any other prospect. There’s no pressure on them and no risk to you — if it’s not a fit, nothing happens.
They become a client — you’re paid
If they sign on and their first payment of $1,908 clears, you earn $572.40. We pay after a short holding period, explained below, so the payment is final before it’s passed along.
$572.40 per client — one time, and that’s the whole deal.
Thirty percent of a referred client’s first payment. Their first payment is $1,908, so your commission is $572.40. It’s a one-time commission on that first payment — we don’t pay a recurring cut on the monthly fee, and we’re telling you that plainly up front instead of burying it.
Refer five businesses that sign and that’s $2,862. There’s no cap on how many you can refer.
Sign up — a real person will get you set up.
We’re onboarding referral partners personally during early access, so getting started is a quick email rather than a form to fill out. Send us a note and we’ll set you up, explain exactly how you’ll be paid, and answer anything before you send your first referral.
Email hello@redolocal.com with the subject “Referral program.” Tell us a little about you and how you know local business owners, and we’ll take it from there.
The rules, in plain English.
These are the terms of the referral program. Joining and referring means you agree to them.
- What you earn. A one-time commission of 30% of a referred client’s first payment — $572.40 on the standard $1,908 first payment. The commission is on the first payment only. It is not recurring: no commission is paid on the $149 monthly fee or on any later payment.
- When you’re paid. A commission is earned once the referred client’s first payment actually clears, and it is paid after a 30-day holding period from that payment. The hold lets the payment settle and clear the refund and dispute window before we pass your share along.
- Voided by refund or chargeback. If the referred client’s payment is later refunded, reversed, or charged back for any reason, the referral commission is void — and if it was already paid to you, it’s owed back. We only pay on money we actually keep.
- No self-referrals. You can’t refer yourself, your own business, or an account you control, and you can’t refer someone who’s already talking to us or already a client. Referrals are for genuinely new businesses you introduce to us.
- No bidding on our brand. Don’t run paid ads on “RedoLocal” or close variations of our name, and don’t send traffic through paid search on our brand terms. That traffic was coming to us anyway; bidding on it isn’t a referral.
- No coupon, deal, or discount-site posting. Don’t post referral links or offers on coupon sites, deal forums, or discount directories. This program is for personal, honest recommendations — not coupon farming.
- You must disclose the connection (this one’s the law). When you recommend us, you have to clearly tell people you’ll be paid if they sign up. The FTC requires anyone with a financial connection to disclose it, clearly and up front, right where you make the recommendation — not hidden in a bio or a separate page. A simple line like “I earn a commission if you sign up with RedoLocal” does it. Be honest; don’t claim to be a customer if you aren’t, and don’t promise results on our behalf that we don’t promise ourselves.
- Taxes and paperwork. Commissions are income. If you’re a U.S. person and we pay you $2,000 or more in a calendar year, we’ll need a completed Form W-9 from you and we’ll issue you a Form 1099-NEC for the year, as the tax rules require. We can’t pay commissions we’re required to report without the W-9 on file.
- The program can change. We may change or end this referral program at any time, going forward. Any change applies to referrals made after the change — a commission you’ve already properly earned is still yours.
- Honest referrals only. Refer businesses you’d genuinely recommend us to. We reserve the right to decline or void a commission for spam, misrepresentation, or anything that breaks these terms — and, like the rest of what we do, we’ll tell you straight if we do.
